Privacy Policy

From ToolzPedia, the free tools encyclopedia · Last updated: 30 June 2026
For terms of use, see Terms of Service. For cookie details, see Cookie Policy. For paid plan refunds, see Refund Policy.

This privacy policy describes how ToolzPedia (“we”, “us”, “our”, “the site”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit toolzpedia.com. ToolzPedia is operated by Mukhtiar Ali, Karachi, Pakistan. By using this website you agree to the practices described below.

Short version: Most ToolzPedia tools process files entirely in your browser. Your files never reach our servers. We use Google Analytics (traffic statistics) and Google AdSense (advertisements). Both set cookies. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time.

Information we collect

Information collected automatically

When you visit ToolzPedia, our web server and third-party services may automatically collect:

  • Log data - your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This is standard server log data retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
  • Analytics data - aggregate, anonymised statistics collected via Google Analytics 4 (page views, session duration, country, device type). This data is not linked to any individual.
  • Advertising data - Google AdSense may collect information about your browsing behaviour across sites to serve relevant advertisements. See Advertising and Google AdSense below.

Information you provide

We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it:

  • Contact form - your name, email address, and message, used solely to respond to your enquiry. This information is not added to any mailing list or shared with third parties.
  • AdSense Approval Auditor account - if you create a free account to use this one tool, we (via Firebase Authentication) store your email address and a display name you choose. See AdSense Approval Auditor - account and audit data below for what happens after you sign in.
  • Billing information - if you upgrade to a paid plan, your payment details (card number, billing address, etc.) are collected and processed directly by Paddle.com, our payment provider and Merchant of Record. ToolzPedia never receives or stores your full card details; we only see your plan, billing status, and the Paddle-assigned customer/order reference. See Refund Policy for how paid plans are billed and refunded.

Your files - what we do not collect

The following tools run entirely in your browser using JavaScript or WebAssembly. Files are never uploaded to ToolzPedia or any third party:

  • All PDF tools (merge, split, compress, JPG to PDF, sign, protect, edit, extract images, Word to PDF, PDF to Word)
  • All image tools (compress, convert, resize, remove background, OCR, Shopify Product Image) -- the Background Removal tool loads its AI model from a CDN but never transmits your image
  • SEO tools (keyword density, meta tag generator, robots.txt generator, sitemap generator)
  • Utilities: QR code generator, password generator, word counter, case converter, percentage calculator, BMI calculator, GPA calculator
  • Design tools: colour picker, gradient generator
  • Science tools: periodic table (all data served statically)
  • Personal tools: MBTI personality test (responses processed locally, never stored)
  • Finance calculators: compound interest, loan, mortgage, inflation (all local calculations)

You can verify this: open DevTools → Network tab → run any file operation. You will see no POST request containing your file.

AdSense Approval Auditor - account and audit data

This is the one tool on ToolzPedia that works differently, and we want to be specific about it rather than burying it in general language above:

  • Account. You need a free ToolzPedia account to use this tool. We use Firebase Authentication (a Google service) to manage sign-in; we store your email address and chosen display name.
  • The URL you submit. When you run an audit, the website URL you enter is sent to a ToolzPedia-operated server, which crawls that URL to generate the report. This is the only tool where your input leaves your device before you get a result.
  • Audit history. We store a record of each audit you run: the URL audited, the verdict, the score, the full report, and which plan you were on at the time. This is tied to your account and shown to you on your profile page so you can revisit past reports.
  • What we don't do with it. We do not sell this data, and we do not use the URLs you audit for any purpose other than showing you your own history. See Methodology for the full technical walkthrough.
  • Deleting it. You can request deletion of your account and associated audit history at any time via contact us.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and maintain the website and its tools
  • Understand how visitors use the site (analytics)
  • Display advertisements that fund the free service
  • Respond to contact form enquiries
  • Detect and prevent abuse, spam, or security threats
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We do not share personal data with third parties except as described in this policy or as required by law.
